Aged law practice getting replaced with modern trend

In the bygone era, an advocate is engaged either on full-time basis or on retainer-basis to render legal services to a corporate.  This involved a dedicated office space, infrastructure requirements, a PC or a laptop, etc.,

The recent trend is to hire an advocate on retainer basis to render the services from his office.  This curtails the expenditure on office space, etc.,  Not only expenditure, but, the crucial time being spent on meetings, discussions can be eliminated.  With the internet-era communication mode, an advocate can be contacted at the convenient time of the managerial people.  Precious time on discussing relevant points can be achieved through topic-oriented email/chat communication.  If two persons meet across a table during face to face interaction, the discussion may sometimes get diverted due to several factors, like, intervening phone-calls, etc., With dedicated email/chat communication, object-oriented discussion can take place.  The records/minutes of such meeting is easier to track at later stages, too.
